The Hermes Speedster is a classic boat in retro style with all of today’s technical features. The small family business "Seven Sea Yachts" from Greece produces the boats. Everything is made by hand and the love that is put into their work can be seen with a single glance at the Hermes Speedster. Inspired by the 1959 Porsche 356 and the Gentleman’s Runabout boats from the 1930s. The result of this extraordinary craftsmanship is a feast for the eyes. When will you board?
The Greek architect Nicolas Politis designed the hydrodynamic underwater hull and based its appearance on the 1959 Porsche 356 and the 1930s Gentleman's Runabout boats. Everything is made by hand in his shipyard. Step by step the parts of the boat are assembled, until finally everything comes together in an unparalleled boat. A magical moment...
We visit the Seven Seas Yachts shipyard a couple of times a year. Several craftsmen are working on different Hermes Speedsters here at the same time. A beautiful sight, so many of those eye-catching retro boats side by side. Only the best materials are collected to create the Hermes Speedster. The leather is stitched on site, the screws are screwed into the steering wheel and the details are added to the boat with great precision. This way you are assured of a perfectly finished boat!
As speed increases the boat rises, thereby preserving the nearly horizontal poisition. This means that the Hermes glides easily through the water: whether you sail 5 knots or the maximum speed. The low center of gravity makes the boat very stable. The boat consumes an average of 5.5 liters per hour. The Hermes Speedster has not been voted "The most efficient production boat in the world" by accident!
From the seats and the steering wheel to the speakers and the switch; every part of the interior is handcrafted and designed with attention to detail. The retractable convertible roof allows you to enjoy the boat in all weather conditions. Heating is optional and makes the boat ideal for the colder climates. Moreover, there is room for five people on board.
Every part is handmade and carefully assembled. The materials are durable and of the highest quality. Every detail has been considered: from upholstery to stitching and from screw to water pump. The Hermes Speedster can be tailored to personal taste.
The Hermes Speedster has a low water resistance, therefore a smaller engine is sufficient. Still, this boat remains faster than its competitors. Because of its very steep bow, the boat slips through the waves with a 72-degree access angle. Combined with the innovative hull, this ensures a calm ride. In addition, the Hermes maintains very low trim angles between 2 and 2.8 degrees at all speeds.
The Hermes Speedster is produced by Seven Seas Yachts, a small family business in Greece. Architect Nicolas Politis designed the hydrodynamic underwater hull and based its appearance on the 1959 Porsche 356 and the 1930s Gentleman's Runabout boats. The underwater hull of the Hermes Speedster consists of seven layers with the outer layer being made of vinyl ester resin. A powerful and durable material. The layers are made up of airtight compartments with a honeycomb structure. This provides firmness without increasing the weight.
Every component is handmade and carefully assembled. The materials are durable and of the highest quality. Every detail has been carefully considered: from upholstery to stitching and from steering wheel to water pump. The Hermes Speedster combines the latest technology with a touch of vintage design. The result of this extraordinary craftsmanship is a feast for the eyes. In addition to being stylish, the boat is also durable and maintenance-friendly, so you only have to enjoy! The Hermes Speedster can be tailored to personal taste.
